That Sunday we decided to get a bit adventurous and hire a couple of motor-scooters, to ride down the Amalfi Coast and back. It really was a fantastic day. Very thrilling riding along the cliff-top roads, and even a bit scary sometimes when a bus was coming up behind us. We did a lot of stopping at viewing bays!  We loved Positano, where we stopped for lunch. We would come back to there in 1996 when we were next in Italy, and stay. The one thing we forgot was to put sunscreen on the backs of our hands, which really got burnt as we were riding! It was hugely fun though, and really one of the highlights of the whole trip.
